THREE SIMPLE STEPS

From open to done.

01

Choose your input

Choose a random password or a word-based passphrase.

02

Make it yours

Set length and character groups, or the number of words.

03

Take it with you

Generate a fresh value and copy it to your password manager.

A FEW GOOD POINTERS

Get a better result.

Use a unique password for each account. The generator guarantees at least one character from every selected group and uses rejection sampling to avoid biased random choices. Passphrases draw independent words from a 2048-word list. The entropy estimate describes generation space, not a promise about an account’s security.

A practical example

A six-word passphrase from 2048 independently chosen words has 66 bits of word-choice entropy before any separators. A random password uses the selected character alphabet.

When this helps

Create credentials for a new account, replace a reused password, or make a memorable passphrase. Copy and store the value before closing the tab, because the app does not save it.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A little more clarity.

What to know before you go.

Where do random values come from?

The generator uses crypto.getRandomValues from your browser. It never uses Math.random.

Does the app store passwords?

No. Generated values stay in memory in the current tab and are not saved or transmitted.

Will every selected group appear?

Yes. Password generation includes at least one character from each enabled group, then shuffles securely.

What does the strength estimate mean?

It is an approximate entropy measure based on the selected alphabet and length. Account security also depends on reuse, storage, and authentication settings.
