A FEW GOOD POINTERS

Tips for Office to PDF

Check fonts, page breaks and table or slide layouts after conversion. LibreOffice renders your document locally; missing fonts and advanced Office features may change the layout. Spreadsheet output follows saved print areas. Macros and animations are not included. Keep your original file for editing. The first conversion downloads a large engine; a current desktop browser is recommended.

A practical example

Choose a Word document, a presentation or a spreadsheet and create a PDF or a set of page images using one local converter.

Share Office documents with recipients who need a fixed document or a picture preview. Exporting a PDF keeps document text where supported; an image export contains only the rendered page.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Office to PDF: frequently asked questions

What to know before you go.

Which files can Office to PDF open?

Supported inputs: DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX and OpenDocument files. Choose PDF, PNG, JPG or WebP output. Password-protected files are not supported.

Will the layout match Microsoft Office exactly?

Not always. The local LibreOffice engine handles common layouts, but missing fonts, complex charts and advanced features can render differently. Review the preview and keep the source file.

Why does the first conversion take time?

The full Office engine loads only when you click Convert. Its first download is large and initialization uses substantial memory. Later downloads can use the browser cache. Desktop browsers work best.

Are my Office documents uploaded?

No. Engine assets download from this site; document bytes are processed in a local browser worker. You can cancel conversion or clear the selected file.

Can I export all pages as images?

Yes. Choose PNG, JPG or WebP; each page becomes a separate image. Export up to 200 selected pages and use a range for larger documents.
