A cutout combines a foreground mask and transparency
Background removal separates a foreground subject from its surroundings. Klyvero offers local object detection, portrait matting and plain-color removal, followed by erase and restore refinement. PNG or WebP can preserve the transparent cutout. Accuracy varies with the scene; inspect hair, shadows and fine edges, then correct the mask before using the result on another background.
Edit the resulting cutout image when it also needs color, framing or text adjustments.

Tips for Remove Background
Auto uses a local object-segmentation model and Portrait uses local portrait matting. Plain color removes matching border-connected pixels by default, preserving disconnected details. Use Erase/Restore for mistakes, adjust edge softness and inspect hair or transparent objects. Model accuracy varies; keep the original.
Use Portrait for a head-and-shoulders photo. For a logo on a white background, use Plain color with white selected and a conservative tolerance.

Remove Background: frequently asked questions
What to know before you go.
Are photos uploaded for AI processing?
No. The self-hosted model is downloaded to your browser; the portrait is processed on your device.
Does portrait mode work for every object?
Portrait specializes in people. Auto targets foreground objects, and Plain color suits uniform backgrounds. Complex scenes can need manual Erase/Restore refinement.
What does tolerance change?
In Plain color mode, tolerance sets how closely pixels must match the background color. Border-connected removal is enabled initially; turning it off can also remove matching interior details.
Which format keeps the cutout transparent?
PNG and WebP keep alpha when Output background is Transparent. Choose a background color if you want a flattened image and review the edges before sharing.
Should I use Portrait or Plain color for a white-background logo?
Plain color is suited to uniform backgrounds, including a logo on white. Portrait is designed for people, while Auto targets foreground objects. Use conservative tolerance and inspect matching interior details before exporting the cutout.
